Deposits placed on your account that are not allocated into the YIELD App fund are ring-fenced and held under safe custody for our users. YIELD App does not use any funds that are on deposit only.
All deposits and YIELD App fund monies are held in third-party custodian wallets provided by best-in-class, industry-leading technology providers, with insured ‘Hot’ & ‘Cold’ wallet switching to provide additional protection.
All user monies and YIELD App fund assets are managed using international regulatory best practice standards, including multi-sig, maker/checker and two-factor authentication protocols supported by robust internal compliance business processes governing the movement and custody of client monies.
The YLD insurance fund pool is a supplementary capital reserve to BitGo custody wallets, providing cover on allocated DeFi invested assets. Individual or aggregate claims are backed by the total capital available in the pool. This reserve will grow as YIELD App investment portfolios increase in value. YIELD App plans to offer a traditional deposit insurance protection scheme under charter to provide individual user protection calculated as a proportion of individual assets held in managed portfolios.
